Novellia headed to San Diego for the DIA Real-World Evidence Conference. It was a gathering of research, regulatory, and medical affairs leaders all focused on one urgent question:

How do we make real-world data actually work—for decision-makers, for regulators, and most of all, for patients?

It was an energizing few days of honest conversations, bold ideas, and a shared recognition that the RWE space is evolving—fast.

Our CEO & Co-Founder, Shashi Shankar, joined the stage to share how Novellia is helping biopharma teams move faster, gain clarity, and act with confidence in the moments that matter. The session focused on a few core themes we heard echoed across the week:

What We Heard

1. The bar is rising. From regulators to commercial teams, expectations around RWE quality are only increasing. Accuracy, completeness, and representation aren’t optional—they’re essential.

2. Standardization isn’t the endgame. A universal data model may never exist. Instead, we need infrastructure that can ingest variation, harmonize inputs, and deliver clarity—no matter the format or source.

3. The urgency is real. Once siloed and slow, RWE is now a major strategic lever. The appetite for clearer, faster, more actionable insight is everywhere—and growing.

What We Shared

In our hosted session, Unifying Real-World Data with AI, we walked through how leading teams are using Novellia’s AI-powered platform to:

  • Turn fragmented, unstructured records into clean, longitudinal datasets
  • Build patient-permissioned registries that reflect real-world complexity
  • Spot care gaps and performance variation earlier
  • Balance scientific, regulatory, and commercial priorities with a unified infrastructure

But the real conversation was about what comes next.

It’s clear that the future of evidence generation won’t be about simply having more data. It will be about making that data useable, clean, contextual, and ready to move across teams, functions, and decisions.

The RWE space is gaining real momentum. And we’re more excited than ever to help push it forward.
